Combat training is about fitness as well as aggression. Self-defense training is about self-preservation and the
protection of loved ones. Martial arts are about all the above as well as combat tactics for real life. Today that would
be street defence and street attacks. But traditional martial arts are about something more...
Fit to fight in combat. All the self-defence skills or combat techniques are no longer effective if you don't have the stamina to execute them
effectively. If you're a wrestler you need to be able to wrestle a man to the ground and roll him up like a baby before
your arms and legs begin to burn from exhaustion and your breathing becomes laboured. You must be FIT TO FIGHT COMBAT
STYLE or you shouldn't fight at all. If you pull a leg muscle running away you weren't fit to fight! |

Fighting with combat arts is not the only way that combat martial arts can improve your life. Nor is it only a method of physical protection or self-defence.
Welcome to Extreme Combat Arts for Real Encounters:
All martial arts by their very nature improve
mental as well as physical functioning and help in self-defense situations. But
unlike combat sports – a martial art has a philosophy and a moral code. It
intuitively connects the practitioner with the laws of nature allowing them to contemplate the world from a different perspective. With heightened awareness and the ability to act decisively, the talented martial
artist is a warrior not to be reckoned with. The judo expert or grappling fanatic
is simply a sports opponent who likes a good challenge. |
